What Exactly Does This Tool Do?

Short Version:

  • Unlocks Life One X2 Bootloader
  • Flashes TWRP 3.0.2-0 custom recovery to Life One X2

Long Version:

As previously mentioned in this guide on how to unlock the bootloader for the Life One X2 users must manually put their devices in different modes and run various commands via command prompt or terminal. To a lot of people this can be an overwhelming step as they aren't comfortable or even familiar with what they are exactly doing and believe they may mess something up. BLOX2assistant is simply a batch file to automate these reboots and commands, taking the headache and mystery out of unlocking yourself. We made it as simple as possible to unlock and flash TWRP.

In BLOX2assistant.bat it has the command “fastboot flash BLOX2_TWRP_recovery.img recovery”, but it should actually be “fastboot flash recovery BLOX2_TWRP_recovery.img”. I think your page on custom recovery might have them in the wrong order as well.

    Thanks for these useful tools!

Thank you for pointing that out! Will get that changed ASAP.

    1. ieatgravity says:

Go ahead and boot TWRP, flash SuperSU and then flash TWRP.img it will stick after that. But be sure to have your bootloader unlocked first.

  3. Nick says:

    Thanks for the unlocked!
I get an error doing this though.
The backup doesn’t seem to work properly:

the phone vibrates intensely for about 5 sec and reboots… into android.
It won’t go back to twrp.
    Any idea?

    1. ieatgravity says:

Go ahead and flash supersu.zip. This disables Dm-verity. You should now be able to perform a backup. If not go ahead and flash TWRP and try again!

  4. Nick says:

    Alright, that did the trick.
But I never managed to use the command prompt. You mean the cmd on windows right?
When I enter adb reboot bootlocker, it gives me an error msg. Any other way to reboot into twrp?

    1. ieatgravity says:

To get TWRP permanently on the phone:
boot into bootloader in cmd “adb reboot bootloader”
once booted: “fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img”
once completed boot into TWRP: “fastboot boot TWRP.img”
now navigate to the reboot tab and select system.

TWRP will now be on your phone.

You can boot into TWRP in various ways now:
      From PC: “adb reboot recovery”
From phone: (in terminal app) “su” then “reboot recovery”
there are also tons of apps on the play store to reboot into recovery

  5. Yes i am having trouble with the download link. The downloads keep stopping short of the size and i have an unusable zip. Don’t you have this on your google drive ?
    Thanks for your time.

Thanks Dennis, I tried the download link myself and it failed. I will swap the link out for the google drive one.
