TWRP for Life One X2 and Life One X2 MINI

Draco is at it yet again by porting TWRP from the Redmi 3S to our beloved Life One X2. This is a substantial upgrade from our initial ported version 2.8 and fixes a lot of broken features many of us encountered including the following:

  • Date and Time is now correct instead of displaying the year 1970
  • Cleaned up the eye sore I (ieatgravity) made when adding "Life One X2" to the splash screen

All credit goes to Draco for this great addition to our device! Small thanks to ieatgravity for a few bug fixes.

Thanks to ieatgravity for porting TWRP for the X2 mini

How to install

There are a few options when it comes to installing the latest version of TWRP to your Blox2, I have sectioned them out according to their method.

Already rooted devices (no PC method):

  • Download Flashify from the Play Store here
  • Download the TWRP (for BLOX2) IMG here
  • Download the TWRP (for X2 MINI) IMG here
  • Open Flashify, select 'Recovery Image' beneath the "Flash" tab
  •  A pop up will appear, select "Choose a file"
  • Find the newly downloaded TWRP file and follow the remaining prompts
  • Reboot

Typical way (With PC method):

  • Go ahead and have your USB debugging activated and your bootloader unlocked
  • Download the TWRP (for BLOX2) IMG here
  • Download the TWRP (for X2 MINI) IMG here
  • Open a CMD window
  • Plug your phone into the PC
  • Run the command "adb reboot bootloader", your device will boot into bootloader mode
  • Once in bootloader mode run the command "fasboot flash recovery TWRP_3.1.0.0_updated.img"
  • When it completes successfully run the command "fastboot boot TWRP_3.1.0.0_updated.img"
  • Navigate the menu in TWRP on your device to reboot

fasboot flash recovery TWRP.img (rename the recovery name to make it shorter and to ensure no error)
    ALWAYS resulted in
“target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
error: cannot load ‘TWRP.img’: No error”

I’ve tried both TWRP and 3.0.2. None of them worked.
    Would somebody please help?

After more Google, I’ve also tried the following -S 512M, still no luck.

      D:\adb>fastboot flash -S 512M recovery TWRP302.img
error: cannot load ‘TWRP302.img’: Unknown error

Is this still up to date? Doesn’t seem to work anymore…
